Stories help us find the words for things that are hardest to explain.
Helping children and families make sense of hard things through stories rooted in the love of Jesus.
If you're looking for help talking to your child about miscarriage, pregnancy loss, grief, or other difficult experiences, you'll find practical resources, honest encouragement, and faith-filled support here.
I'm Diane Newcomer—a picture book author, storyteller, and homeschool mom who believes stories can help us find words when life doesn't go as planned. This is also a place for the quiet work of forming hearts—both yours and your child’s.
Meet Me
Family: My husband is my 1st Boyfriend, 1st Date and 1st Kiss. We met half way around the world and he still makes me laugh everyday.
I’m a mom of 3 miracle kids.
Culture
I’ve gotten muddy in the Dead Sea, ridden a camel around the pyramids, and walked in the footsteps of emperors.
Whether it’s working with refugees or teaching English, I love different cultures and travel.
Homeschool Mom
I’m a homeschooling mom to a Lego-loving 4th grader and a spunky preschooler. We are learning a new rhythm with a newborn in the mix.
Artisit
I’ve freelanced as an artist and am working on a children’s picture book about miscarriage.
Education
I went to North Central University because it had scoop ice cream and an Intercultural Studies Degree. I graduated as Salutatorian of my class. My Master’s of Arts in Language Teaching came from the University of Nebraska Omaha. I’m currently pursuing a Mental Health Coach Certification.
Infertility & Natural Living
I wore the same Wool& dress for 100 days straight, had 3 non medicated births, and cook with cast iron. Infertility led me on the path to more natural living and becoming gluten and dairy free.
