I know it might be strange to include Elementary Artwork in your portfolio, but my love of art began in Elementary school.

Cats. I don’t love cats, but the cats are one of my favorite pieces of artwork. I did them in 6th grade with charcoal. I have always loved to work in black and white. I entered the Friskies art contest and lost. (My mom still thinks it is an injustice.) The year was 1997.

Summer Sunset was created with torn paper. I think it was 4th grade.

This is all we have left from my elementary art. My parents were excellent at encouraging me by framing my art, and my brothers and displaying them in our house. (They are still hanging in their house today.)
